Welcome to the Barnstaple Swimming Club

First Gala of the new Season – Exeter Sprint Meet.  24 th Sept

Huge Good luck to all our swimmers competing this weekend.  Swim well, Swim Fast 🙂 .  Look forward to seeing smiling faces and a great competition.

English National Qualification –

Massive well done to Bob Whittaker for gaining entry to this years English National Championship at Ponds Ford Sheffield in August this year for the 200 IM.  And that makes 4 Consecutive years for an entry for Mark at these Championships.  Bob is following in the footsteps of Wil Hutchens, David Miller and India Martin.  Fantastic achievement for our small but our very Proud Club.

Open Water Swimming

For the second year running Josh Gammon has competed in the South West Regional Open Water Championships.  This year Josh came 4th overall in his age group in the 1500m and narrowly missing out on qualification to the National Open Water Championships by only 1 second.  Huge well done Josh.

Club Championships

Massive well done to all that competed in the Club Championships this year. To those of you that had a go at races that you would never normally swim, fantastic as you never know how it may turn out.  And to the Older Boys and Girls, well done and thankyou for encouraging the younger swimmers and showing them what they can aspire to.  Results are HERE

Barnstaple Swimming Club consists of two sections.

Club Swimmers swim through the Swim 21 programme and progress to squad swimming. Here they will be encouraged to enter team galas, compete in Devon Championships and hopefully on to Regional and National competitions.

Barnstaple Swimming Club have a strong Waterpolo group catering for all ages, men and women. The teams compete at county, regional and national level with regular inter-club matches and training.
